- Exercise: a one-minute plank, jumping jacks or stretching.
- Brainstorming: write down as many ideas as you can in 60 seconds.
Accurate in the background
The countdown is measured against your device's clock, not by counting ticks, so 1 minute is exactly 1 minute even when you switch to another tab. The time left also shows in the tab title. On phones, keep the screen on so the alarm can play.

Frequently asked questions
Is it exactly 60 seconds?
Yes. It counts down 60 seconds against the clock, so it stays accurate even in a background tab.
Does the 1 minute timer make a sound?
Yes. A chime repeats for up to a minute when time is up, and phones that support it vibrate too. Use Test sound to check your volume first.
Is it free?
Yes, completely free, with no sign-up.
