How to use the WebP to JPG Converter
- Drop your WebP files into the box or click choose files.
- JPG is selected by default. Choose PNG instead if the image has a transparent background.
- Download each image or all of them as a zip.
Why are so many images WebP?
WebP is a modern format created by Google that makes images about 25–35% smaller than JPG, so most websites now serve it to speed up loading. The downside is that some older apps, photo editors, printers and upload forms still don't accept it.
JPG or PNG?
- JPG is best for photos and gives smaller files. Transparent areas become white, or the color you pick.
- PNG keeps transparency and every pixel exactly. It's best for logos, stickers, icons and graphics.
Animated WebP
Animated WebP files convert to a still image of their first frame, because JPG and PNG can't animate.
