How to use the SVG to PNG Converter
- Drop your SVG files into the box or click choose files.
- Choose the SVG size: a scale like 2×, or an exact width like 1024 px. The height follows the shape of the drawing.
- PNG is already selected, and transparent areas stay transparent.
- Click Download for each image, or Download all for a zip.
Pick the right size
An SVG is a vector drawing, so it can be turned into a PNG of any size without getting blurry. The PNG, on the other hand, has a fixed number of pixels. Pick the size you'll actually use:
- App and website icons: 512 px or 1024 px wide.
- Social media and slides: 2048 px wide is sharp even on large screens.
- Print: multiply the printed width in inches by 300. A logo printed 8 cm (about 3 in) wide needs about 950 px, so choose 1024 px.
- 2× and 4× scale the size written in the SVG file, which is handy for retina screens.
Transparent backgrounds
PNG supports transparency, so anything that's see-through in your SVG stays see-through in the PNG. That's what you want for logos you'll place on colored backgrounds. If you need a solid background, convert to JPG instead and pick the color.
Why use PNG instead of SVG?
Many places don't accept SVG: social networks, email signatures, Word and PowerPoint in older versions, online stores and most upload forms. PNG works everywhere. Keep the SVG as your original, because it's smaller and can be edited, and make PNGs whenever you need them.
Frequently asked questions
Will the PNG be blurry?
No, as long as you pick a size at least as big as you'll display it. The drawing is rendered fresh at the size you choose.
Why does the text in my PNG look different?
If the SVG uses a font that isn't installed on your device, the browser substitutes a similar one. In your design tool, convert text to outlines (paths) before exporting the SVG to keep the exact lettering.
Why is part of my SVG missing?
For safety, browsers don't load external files referenced by an SVG, such as linked images or web fonts. Images embedded inside the SVG file work fine.
Can I convert many SVG files at once?
Yes. Add as many as you like, then download them one by one or together as a zip.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser.
