Number Wheel

Spin to pick a random number. The wheel starts with 1 to 10, and you can change it to any numbers you like: raffle ticket numbers, students' class numbers or 1 to 100.

Your list is saved in this browser. The share link puts it in the address so others open the same wheel.

How to use the Number Wheel

  1. The wheel is ready to go. Click Spin!, click the wheel, or press Ctrl+Enter.
  2. Wait for it to stop. The winner pops up on screen.
  3. Want to change it? Edit the list on the right, one option per line. Your changes are saved in this browser.
  4. Click Remove from wheel in the pop-up to take a result out before the next spin.

Uses for a number wheel

  • Raffles and giveaways: enter the ticket numbers and spin for the winner.
  • Classrooms: call on students by their class number, or pick a question number.
  • Games: decide how many steps to move, or the number of rounds.
  • Math practice: spin twice and multiply, add or compare the numbers.

A bigger range

A wheel works best with up to about 100 slices. To fill it quickly, type numbers in a spreadsheet column and paste them in. For huge ranges, a dice roller with a custom die is faster: try 1d1000 in dice notation.

Frequently asked questions

Can I pick more than one number with no repeats?

Yes. Click Remove from wheel after each spin, or switch to Pick names at the top to draw several numbers at once.

Is the result really random?

Yes. Each spin picks the winner with your browser's secure random number generator, so every slice has exactly the same chance. The animation then lands on it.

Can I get the original list back?

Yes. Click Clear, then Put the original list back.
